Lake Stevens is home for Wallace Roofing & Exterior Construction. Jeremiah lives and works here, and a large share of our roofs, siding jobs and decks are within a few minutes of the lake. Most failed decks we replace in Lake Stevens did not fail because the boards wore out. They failed because the ledger was never flashed and rotted the rim joist of the house along with it. When we replace a deck, we inspect the wall behind it and repair what we find.

Homes around the lake deal with heavy moisture year-round, and the east and north shores sit under thick fir and cedar cover that drops needles onto roofs and keeps north slopes from ever fully drying out. Moss gets a foothold fast here. We build cedar decks in Lake Stevens too, including large projects like a full replacement of a 1,000 square foot clear cedar deck, and we will be honest with you about the maintenance cedar takes under Northwest trees.
