Lake Stevens is home for Wallace Roofing & Exterior Construction. Jeremiah lives and works here, and a large share of our roofs, siding jobs and decks are within a few minutes of the lake. Most window failures we see in Lake Stevens are not the glass. They are rotten sills from a window set without sill pan flashing, stains below a window whose head flashing was skipped, and drafts from an opening foamed shut instead of properly sealed. Those are installation problems.

Homes around the lake deal with heavy moisture year-round, and the east and north shores sit under thick fir and cedar cover that drops needles onto roofs and keeps north slopes from ever fully drying out. Moss gets a foothold fast here. Retrofit or full-frame? A retrofit insert fits inside the existing frame and is less invasive. A full-frame replacement goes to the rough opening and is the right call when the sill or framing on your Lake Stevens home is rotten. We check and tell you which one it actually needs.

You will find 1970s and 80s homes along the lake, big new subdivisions out toward Soper Hill, Cavelero and Frontier Village, and older acreage properties toward Machias and Hartford. We replace sliders, casements, picture windows, bay and bow windows, and sliding and French patio doors in Lake Stevens, in vinyl and fiberglass, and we repair rotten sills and framing as part of the job rather than covering them with trim.
